1. stay off of TAC channels unless central dispatch tells you otherwise or the chief or assistant chief. 2. if there is multiple response, wait until the channel is clear then talk. 3. if you are trying to talk to another unit say that unit first the yours. ex. Chief 77, engine 76. wait until they reply then say what you have to say 4. lieutenant or captains should mark on, on scene, and off. ex. engine 78 responding, engine 78 on scene, engine 78 returning to station, engine 76 secured at station/in the house 5. when talking to central dispatch, do not say dispatch, say central. 6. lieutenants and captains can take command for non major incidents, they can also take command for small fires, but if it gets too big/out of control, notify central, so that they can notify assistant chief or me.
